2010 and counting

Scott Schwab
Well the New Year is here and time is ticking. There are many times where at this point of the year everyone starts making goals with the mindset that if it happens that will be great. We should all be well aware that we control our destiny and if we really want something, we will have to work for it. Additionally I think in many situations, we find ourselves just making new years resolutions, just cause that is the thing to do. First of all you should never make a goal or resolution, just because society pressure or something that you know that you are not going to do. Setting goals are a very healthy thing to do. There are documented results of people that live a more satisfied life because of the setting of goals and obtaining goals. The problem from time to time is setting to many goals so you lose focus, not being committed to your goals, and/or not taking proper steps to obtain goals. A goal is just a wish unless it is written down. Goals should be crystallized; a way of breaking down goals as per Napolean Hill. Essentially it takes knowing your goal, your time constraints, and ways of overcoming the objectives. At this point in the year I would not recommend setting 10 different goals. Set realistic, passionate goals that you know that you want. Once you identify those goals, you must break it down to a monthly, weekly, and daily process. This way you know the best ways to accomplish your goals, and it makes your goal more real and obtainable. Having passion for your goal and also having a road map or detailed outline, will give you more success guaranteed. I promise you that you will live a more fulfilled life as you set goals, but not only set goals, but obtain goals. Have a wonderful start to the year. It was a year ago that we started this blog and we have learned so much and thank all of you for your help, friendship, and suggestions. We wish you the absolute best in health for the New Year.
